This is something which people have firmly and loudly rejected.

But the Patriarch wants with the help of Bishop Shabo and other dubious bishops to subjugate the people. The will of the people is not the priority, instead the Patriarchy wants to keep the tarnished bishop in Belgium. The Patriarch has also determined that the ownership of all property belonging to the Syrian Orthodox Church in Belgium must be registered to the Patriarchate.

In order to increase the pressure to the maximum on the Assyrians in Belgium, Bishop Shabo spoke in Suroyo TV and said that all churches belonging to his diocese are registered at the Patriarchate when it comes to ownership. This was a deliberate lie, because his newly built church in Södertälje is registered to a corporation, Mor Jacob AB.

Why do you lie to the people, Bishop Shabo?

Unfortunately, even those sitting in the company's board of directors kept quiet about it. Perhaps none of them can read balance sheets and income reports. Bishop Shabo is also quiet and defends the Patriarch in his decision to let a priest convicted for child offenses to continue his service despite the fact that the priest had been convicted to 3 years in prison for assaulting 28 Assyrian children in Germany.

The priest got his post in the church back after serving his sentence.

Now people start to question even the Patriarch, who defends these devious priests. We have previously written about the scandal around the process of hiring the new church's banquet room, which was not conducted correctly and justly.

Bishop Shabo keeps quiet and has no shame. In addition, the authorities have refused his diocese the right to raise tax from the congregation members, they have also observed remarkable accounting deficiencies.  The authorities write in their referral, that Bishop Shabo had received a grant of 68 500 Swedish crowns but the post was not found in the records.
